Here is a trivia question for you guys....

Can anybody tell me what famous movie THX1138 is prominent in? Bonus if you can tell me exactlly where it is in the movie.

THX1138 is from the movie of the same name. He's played by Robert Duvall in the theatrical release. Lucas' film school project also had the same name, I think. It was pretty cool to see his low budget version, too, when it was on TV a few years ago.

Phil - I had actually forgotten about that movie. I think I saw that in film class long ago. Subtract 1 second off any run next year. :wink: :wink:

I was actually thinking about a movie that just about every car guy has watched.


Anyone else care to take a guess?

Perhaps it's an obscure serial number on the velocity stack close-up in Grand Prix?... which, IMHO, is the ultimate car movie! :wink:

Hmmmm...I need to put that DVD on my Christmas list...

Actually I have no idea where else it was ever used besides the original movie.

Ding Ding Ding!!!!!! Congratulations Marty!!! I have also heard that you can see the THX1138 reference in all George Lucas movies, though I haven't seen it in any others.
