2005 STi's, to be exact. Two silver and one blue, if it matters. :)

If I don't get a response on this by Sunday, I'll pop for a 30 day account, I reckon.

Thanks a bunch. I must have been snoozing when I pulled that WRX thinking it was an STi. I pasted the wrong VIN. Can you run this one, too?

JF1GD70645L516339

Much appreciated!!!

So, all of those cars have clean carfax reports. One is on eBay in Georgia and is silver. Problem is that to me it *really* looks like the front bumper cover has been replaced on that one and the paint doesn't match (the paint isn't the issue...what wasn't fixed properly underneath is). So I nixed that one.

Another is on eBay and again is silver. This one is in Virginia at "Linton Motorsports." I call the guy and say "what's your rock bottom cash price." "You bid eBay then we talk." "Excuse me?" "You think it go more than fifteen thousand?" "Yes." "Then you bid eBay and we talk." "Err, okay." *click* So I nix that one.

The other is a blue one from Autotrader that's got no price listed. Florida car that somehow made its way to "Kia of Blue Ridge" with 5k miles. I call and speak to Tammy, a very outgoing and personable sounding salesperson. She says they're asking $32,995. Ouch! But she says that this car is perfect and needs NOTHING. I say I'm not so interested in perfect since this would be a race car (which probably isn't entirely true...I've limited my search so far to sub 15k mile cars). She says that's interesting because they've gotten a lot of calls like mine. She also says they have an offer for $30k from a guy in Texas, but they have to ship it to him (I do not believe the offer included shipping costs or anything). They're sitting on that, but apparently "Greg" (or whatever the salesmanager's name is) was tempted but didn't want to deal with the hassles of out of state paperwork and shipping (this place is pretty much *on* the border with Georgia).

I say that I'm only interested if I can get the car for $29,000, cash and drive away. She says oh, well, that may be close enough to work with but she'll have to get Greg to sign off on it and get back to me on Monday. This conversation happened Saturday about 11am! Unreal. Oh, I had to listen to her song and dance about how this car was annoying to even have on the lot because it was so cool that every 18-19 year old was stopping by wanting to test drive it and saying "oh, Mom and Dad will cosign" and then she calls Mom or Dad and they say "uh, we were thinking something more like $5000."

Anyway, that car appears to still be a possibility, I just wanted to relay the story for some reason.

Donnie,

Are you getting an '05 for the different wheels? Just curious.

I'm 95% sure that SS has a "new" '05 on the lot with a few hundred miles, but it's grey. :?

Oh, I'm interested for a few of the upgrades...the biggest is that the rear fenders are more rolled and allow for 275's instead of just 245's. Plus the wider wheels and a couple other things...

Oh, and I don't know if you are looking for any OEM'er wheels, but I have a set of silver 05 rims I am giving away at 750. Let me know if you want them.
