I need to ship a pallet full of BMW diffs to MA. I think it's gonna be 3 or 4 complete diffs, and then a couple of boxes of diff gears, flanges, etc. Probably 4-500 lbs total.

I usually ship via Fedex ground, and that's fine for 1 or 2 diffs at a time, but I'd like to be able to strap them all on a pallet and have them trucked. Anyone have a good discount with a truck line they wouldn't mind sharing?? I will drop the pallet at the shipping company dock, or wherever it needs to go in the RDU area.

Seems like the trucking companies will give huge discounts to almost any company- but when it comes to an individual- they offer up their "list" rates, which are high IMHO.

Thanks!!

Bret.

Bret, check with fed ex for their LTL service. one of the mills i deal with uses them exclusively. albeit they have a big contract, but it would seem fed ex wants to get into that market. otherwise i use SEFL (southeastern freight) but i don't think they go to MA.

BTW, i am looking a LSD with a 3:30 to 3:50 for my e36. steve

Back when I needed to ship a block from NC to CA I couldn't get any of the fright folks to give me the time of day for under $1000...

I ended up going with "Freightquote.com" and was reasnabally satisfied. In the end, it might be cheaper to divide the load and use FedEx Ground.
