Regarding the Death Grip...there are three ways to mitigate this problem:

1) Relax your grip on the steering wheel and turn early enough so you don't have to fight the kart;

2) Buy wide receiver gloves. They require less grip strength to hang onto the wheel and help a bunch, especially if you plan on doing multiple stints.

3) If you plan on karting a lot, start doing exercises to build up your forearm strength (e.g., wrist curls, the grip squeezer things, wrist rollers, etc.) The Rush Hour karts are a piece of cake to drive (i.e., like having power steering) compared to the original GForce karts in Richmond. Those suckers were so brutal, especially for doing enduros, that Chris, Donnie, and I all started doing various grip exercises to lessen the misery. It definitely helps.

Suggestions #1 and #2 are easy & quick solutions.

Good luck,
Eric
