Man, it would be way cool if they could link your "race name" to some sort of "club" scoring category (like they have now for best of day, month, etc) that just keeps all time records for folks in Tarheel. Then publish those to the web somewhere for us to brag on. :)

How cool would it have been to take the top three finishers from each group and have a run-off for the THSCC Karting title?

From the total time on track, it looks like Whitney started later in the line.

It might also have to do with the fact that Mike got slammed into by someone and it knocked the wind out of him for a couple laps. So his driving was slowed slightly by the inability to get air into his lungs.

In Mike's defense, he did in fact get the same lame kart that Brian had. The infamous #10!

Let's get those other groups results posted so we can see which karts were not up to snuff. That should help some folks lick their wounds and I would like to give some feedback to Rush Hour regarding how even the karts aren't.

Ryan - I got photos of the pass and the victory lap by Rob. It's on FILM!!! (my first roll in 2 yrs), and is at the photo lab right now. I'll be sure to scan and post all the photos when I get them. :D

Oh, Cosby Wood already came up with a pax index for different weights. Brian has been suggesting that we add ballast. I'm not adding anything - I'd rather be faster and hear the excuses than handicap myself for some "gigantor." :P

In fact, I'm going to get back into running several miles a day (what I did before "THIS"), and get back down to what I weighed when I got married... 142 lbs. Only 25 lbs to go!

Gosh, I was slow....

I just hope I didn't get in anyone's way too bad out there. I heard an echo of "Other Sports Beckon" out there for a while.

Rob, I have a sheet on group C but no scanner. the way I type it'll take all day to type it up.
In looking at the other group, I don't feel too bad with a first time 260 lb driver. I think more track time and a diet will really help. Any chance for a fat guys heat?

An update: Tires were changed this week after 14 days. In the future tires will be changed every ten days.

Anyone having difficulty with a kart during a session should notify the management right away. THey do not want people to be disappointed in their experience. Corrective action and compensation will be forthcoming.

The fastest times were run by group "A", followed by group "B", and finally group "C". Did we just drive the tires off the karts? Did the descending temperatures play a role in the lap times going up?

OK Group "A", we know it's because you people are faster than the rest of us  .

We need more events like Tuesday!!!
