Brian,
C group for me. I dont think they have enough lead to ballast the others to get to 250.

Surprisingly enough, I am right there with you on the ballast issue :)

See you there. Gwen coming too?

Hey, can I still get in on this? Sounds fun to me!

Either Group B or Group C is fine - I'm not fast, and I am weight-challenged as well....

After Jon, I am going to have to call that 'it' for the amount of people we can take.

I also have 3 more spots... first three are in, then, that is it.

Thanks!

Registration is now closed. We will not be able to start our first runs until 7:45-8pm, so be mindful of that. There IS food on site, and it will take about 10 mins per group to pay and get your ticket for your run group. There is a small drivers meeting for new drivers (3 mins about flags)

Other than that, call me on my cell if you have issues -- 919 215 - 8627. Come out, have fun, and I hope everyone shows/has a good time!

Directions/location is on the web site in the main post's URL. Check it out for details.

Can we call you if we don't have issues? Like at 3 in the morning when we are lonely and need someone to talk to? Or if we are on the roof ready to jump and are looking for that one kind soul who makes it worth living? On second thought, maybe one shouldn't call you with that in mind.

So it sounds like, if we want to eat there, we should be there by 7 at the latest. What time are folks thinking of showing up? I see the original post says 7:00 to 8:00, but it seems like the whole pay/rungroup/headscratch thing might be best done with everyone present...

I plan on getting there between 7 and 7:15 so there is plenty of time to get everything done before running.

Well, I am getting there as early as possible in order to talk to the managers and ensure that everything is ready. You CAN get there early to eat, but ensure that YOU DO NOT DRINK. If you do, you WILL NOT be allowed to drive for the remainder of the night.

Let's just be nice to the owners as we want to establish a good relationship with them :).

I, for one, plan to eat AFTER I run, as I need to be as light as possible.

They stop serving food at 10pm, FYI, so, if you are the last hroup off (Group C), you might want to eat first. Otherwise, everyone shoul dhave time to do as they choose.

Had fun last night- a little sore this morning from slamming the wall too many times (primarily the one at the exit of the long right sweeper- must practice!). Despite widely varying success at taking Turn 1 well, I managed some fairly consistent times in qualifying. Things started well in the race, but after passing Dave Phillips on the first lap, I couldn't handle the pressure and spun in Turn 1, requiring a time-consuming assist from the track monkey. Once I got going again I was able to find some clear track now and then and got 4 laps (of 16) into the 33s, with a best of 33.367.

I have probably the same list of things to improve on that everyone does:
  • Turn 1
  • chicane

I know Brian was bummed about having a bad kart (what number was that one, Brian?) that spoiled his race. How's the rest of y'all do?

Brian,

Thanks for all of your time and effort setting up last night at Rush Hour. I had a great time. I too am sorry that you got a bum kart for your race. You sure seemed to have turn 1 figured out as we watched from the fence.

Mike Whitney, Rob Harvey and I spoke with the owner after hours. He has some nice plans for further upgrades including going to 9hp karts. He also wants a to put up a large projection screen for lap times and position. I sure did miss not knowing my position on track. After about 5 laps I thought I had passed Rob Harvey for the lead, only to find out I had lapped a car that I thought was Rob.

The time sheets were very cool. I hope we can do this again very soon.
