A Ferrari owner!

I stumbled across this story earlier today about the 2005 Ferrari Challenge Rally:
http://autos.msn.com/advice/article.asp ... 4&src=News

This about sums it up:

Ferrari supplied mechanics to keep the cars in perfect running condition, as well as detailing services so each morning owners began a day in the life with a clean machine. The idea behind the details was rather simple: all participants had to do was drive and enjoy themselves—it's like giving your car a nice vacation and going along for the ride.

Back to reality
On a more practical note, who'd want to plow over the last three cones of a Chicago box with a car that nice?

:raises his hand:

If I had the money, I would buy it, and use it for that which it was meant.

I would think it would be hella fun to do a whole autoX in 1st ;)

They had a special on DiscoveryHD about Ferrari owners and their little get togethers. This one was a Lime Rock in Connecticut. Pretty interesting to see that much $$$$$$$$$$$ in one place.

One dude crunched his 60's era Ferrari, said it was 1 of like 20 remaining in the world and that the damage was probably $50k. All he did was rip the front bumper cover off

There's a Ferrari club that has a couple events at VIR each year.

It's a better day than this guy had. Evidently, the carbon fiber body tubs don't like to stay intact in Enzo crashes. Whoopsie.

How could you tell that was an Enzo? Just wondering because all I see is a mangled mess of red body work.

I don't think he walked from that crash!!!
