For those who care, Mario Andretti, the USA's ONLY F1 World Champion (aside from Pete Aaron that is!) will be at the Grand Opening of Pete Smith Tire & Quick Lube in Rolesville on October 19. 501 South Main St. Rolesville. He will be signing autographs from 3:30 to 5:30.

I'm planning on being there with helmet in hand. I think Andretti will be a fitting addition to Mr. Shelby's autograph. :thumbsup:

Dang. I thought that it was bad enough for him to ho himself out for Magnaflow, but to go down to the level of a Pete Smith Tire & Quick Lube opening is just plain shameful. :(

They must have one heck of a marketing budget along with their five locations. Then again, you never know if they have a family connection (going out on a limb here) or something along those lines.

My guess is that it was a Fireston/Bridgestone thing.

I should be a little faster now. I have both Carroll Shelby's and Mario Andretti's autographs on my helmet. That's got to be worth something...right??

Faster,.... Well now maybe if it were autographed with a YELLOW marker... :lol:

But I figured it would be a larger crowd, i was in line for maybe 10 minutes.... worth the 30 minute drive for the autograph on the helmet, giveaways and free food IMO.

We ended up with a free oil change, free food, and a few other give aways.

I think Todd felt like the autograph alone was worth the drive.
