big deal. It looks big and heavy, and appears to have a rather lengthy wheelbase. I'd rather see the US get more real sports cars like the Elise. We have plenty of family sedan's here already (why not a Skyline powered 350Z? that would be more fun).

I can buy a used '90 Cressida, add some springs and a 2JZGTE and crush a Skyline for a whole lot less money (OK, the handling will be tough, but not the power).

If I want modern suspension, then I go with an IS300 or GS300 and a 2JZGTE... All of these options are cheaper than a Skyline.

I agree scott, but current riceboys will drool over them for the next four years. Then they'll be 30 and can afford them. I think they are more hype than substance, other than that 4wd launch they've got nothing you can't get elsewhere for way cheaper. The only thing is they've got tons of cheap hopup potential. Supposedly the engine internals and drivetrain are way overbuilt for the stock power.

It makes it debut in 2007 at the Toyko Auto Show. They did not say when it might arrive here. By that time the Z06 will be cranking out over 600 HP for a lot less money. :D

Phil I tried to sell yours for you at the VIR solo1 a few weeks ago. You'd have loved the Caterham these other guys had. They had one with an old Formula Atlantic ford engine in it with a quaffe sequential gearbox. They were looking for one needing a bit more work, ala cheap beater. I tried though.

Thanks Rob!

I don't remember what the Formula atlantic had in it. Mine has the old "formula ford", 711m.

The Elise will be here soon. Even with the Celica GT-S motor, it will be a blast.
