I have been using Clawsen Jernigan with Jernigan and Associates for over ten years now (I am a licenced Real Estate Broker)
He has been doing inspections for probably 20 years and is the past president of NC Home Inspections Board.
He has two associates, both of which I have used.
You get a very detailed 2-3 hour inspection followed the next day by a very detailed report, not some fill in the blank things that some inspectors use.
He is not cheap, but given the cost of repairs on a house these days ,you want someone very thorough.
His office number is 782-0545.

I used A-1 home inspectors about 2 years ago for my house. I was very impressed as they went into great detail. They were also on-time for the appointment. As my house was new they even noticed how I was missing an air-conditioning register in one of my rooms that should have multiples.... I went back and looked through the pictures of when the house was being built and found one. The builder had accidentally drywalled over one of them.

A-1 House Inspectors Inc 919-481-0293

it was about $325-$350 if I remember correctly for a ~2100 square foot home

Chris,

I'm assuming a 11 month inspection is to catch any defects before the one-year warranty expires? If so, I'll need to be getting off my butt & doing precautionary measures too.
