ha, i'm in teh same boat. my ES100s are toast and its time for some nice long lasting all-seasons.

i'm looking at the Falken zeix 512s. unless something amazing pops up on my radar, i'll have em in a month or two

I will have to double check, but I think those are the steet tires I got for the MR2. I can not tell you how they perform since I only put about 100 miles on them. But they look like hell. The 225/50/15's on the back look like they are 195/60/15's ... I had AVS's on the car before and was really disappointed with the look of the 512's.

I have the 512s. They wear evenly. That is the only good thing that I can say about them. Oh, and they're inexpensive. That's two things.

^how many miles do you have on yours? are you happy w/ their tread life? i really want something that jsut lasts.. i dont race around on the streets and dont need anything super grippy. i just dont want to half to worry about my street tires for a good 2 years (30,000m).

I was also looking at the Kumho ASX which have a higher tread wear rating and are also cheap. both have great reviews, but it seems like i keep talking to ppl who have the 512s and like em a lot.

any other ideas?

12-15K ish? They'll last till next fall probably, then I'll spend money and get better ones.

Tire Size? Rim size?

RE092s == ever WRX owner in the world gets rid of these when they are new.

Fuzion HRi. Cheap, handles well in wet + dry, great rallycross tire. :-)

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... eModel=HRi

Can't speak to longevity yet, but so far so good.

I had BFG Traction T/As before that, but unlike TireRack.com users, I wasn't impressed with either the wet traction or treadlife. YMMV (literally).

I have the kumho ASX's on my Infiniti. I have about 5K miles on them so far and they are showing little wear. They seem to have plenty of grip. My only complaint would be just a bit noisy at highway speeds.

I've got the 512s and love them. I got them from Mark C and HH. They are quiet, have good grip, they are very durable, and best of all.....inexpensive!!
