Must be getting near Halloween.
Just got back from a trip to Sante Fe and while I was there I rented a car from Alamo. The only choice I had in my car group was an Olds Alero. The four door version of this...

GM's blurb says... Praised by Road & Track for its "delightfully well-balanced and nimble character".
What were they smoking?!
It drove like a drunk pig! I was leery of making any sudden moves with the steering wheel at high speed - it rolled all over the place! And acceleration? Not much of anything - punch down the go pedal and it downshifts and makes lots of noise but goes nowhere. Cruise control wouldn't disconnect if you gently tapped the brakes - you had give it a push; cruise control controls were in an awkward place in the steering wheel.
I could go on.
Maybe I've been spoiled driving my WRX this past year. Horsepower is a slippery slope - how can I buy a slower car than the one I'm driving now?
