Any of you racing game addicts messed with this at all?

http://www.liveforspeed.net/

Supposedly, it's an online racing game simulator, and it has an autocross section- complete with autocross course designer tool!

Sounds good... but I haven't messed with it.

If the autox course edit section is really any good, it makes me wonder if we can practice putting course layouts on it as an exercise before building a real one.. Now wouldn't that be cool?

I wonder if it has a "pothole" tool? :)

Great game, few years old now. The auto-x editor is pretty fun, although I'll confess to never having made my own; I just downloaded other peoples courses and ran them.

The real fun comes with car set-up.. the level of detail there just puts most other racing "sims" to shame.

If you read this thread in their forum, it sounds like they are having a lot of fun designing and running autox courses....

I tried it last year. With a wheel/pedals on my PC it was alright. It is technical. But the demo has 1 course with 3 cars. So you don't get to try those autocross options unless you buy it. My PC isn't really setup to be a game machine so I had some problems getting it setup for my graphics card and dual monitors. So I just punted on it. I got GT3 on the PS2 on my big screen TV for game entertainment what little I play it.

Now if someone wanted to buy it and expend a bunch of energy scaling one of our sites and setting it all up, well....
