I'll just say this... if the wife & I were into street racing (which we're NOT!

) I could get the jump on the FXT (automatic) with my WRX at ~3k in 2nd gear, then have the FXT slowly walk away from me as we proceeded through 3rd gear. I wouldn't be sure what happens after that, because the wife would theoretically be lifting at that point.
As for handling, anybody who's been to a rallycross lately can tell you what the FXT will do on dirt, but on pavement the WRX owns it. With the Forester STi (yes, they do make those for the rest of the world) springs & some decent tires... uhhh... well, I'll probably know that story at some point this year.
edit: actually, if we go to Greenville next weekend, we may run it in D Stock with Toyo RA-1's & everything else stock.
