with the exception of the "blue" color i believe i have seen a new corvette in all the offered colors around town. i now know why all the publications picture this car in yellow almost exclusively. it is one butt fugly car. either they designed it in yellow and decided to offer other colors or they just got lucky with one color, i don't know. GM would have to give me one for me to park a new vette in my driveway.

Now wait a minute.....As Shawn can attest, yellow makes a car go faster. So if the General designeda car in Yellow, they wanted it to be the fastest car possible.

<--Owner of two wicked fast YELLOW cars.

Black and Red are the most produced colors. Each accounting for about 20% of the C5s. From 97-99 Yellow was dropped. Then they brought it back in 2000 as Millenium Yellow. It makes up about 10% the ones produced.

I don't care for Yellow personally but the Competition Yellow on the C4 looks much better than the Millenium Yellow on the C5. On the C6 they played around with some clear coat tinting to change the look of the Millemium Yellow. And added a $750 premium for it. Can you imagine actually charging people extra for Yellow   (just kidding Todd)

That's pretty funny. I fell in love with C3. Particularly the 69/L89 and the 70/LT1. I still think the C3 is the best looking shape. I swore those were the only Vettes I would own short of a 63 split window coupe. When the C4 came out I thought it looked too European. Then the C4 grew on me over time and I got the 92-LT1. I think the shape looks better than the C5. I still can't get over that fat a** on the C5. But it has grown on me and the Z06 option is just nuts! I'm sure at some point the C6 will grow on me too.

For the time being I'm just smiling having them both and comparing them side by side

i will admit i have seen pictures of C6's with other series beside them. kind of like the good looking girl (Z06) who always has a couple of homely friends around, the whole group gets better looking.

the lines on the C6 just don't stand out to me. the yellow seems to create more contrast than the other colors and i am guessing that is why all the mags have a yellow one pictured.

I know yellow is supposed to be 15% faster, but does it count if the calipers don't match?

Now you are starting to get the idea!!

My yellow cars with a layer of pollen are so fast, I can hardly stand it!!!!!

Calipers are of no factor. Since they only SLOW the car down. Though, I guess yellow calipers would stop a car faster. Hmmmm...maybe I sould paint my calipers yellow.
