Does anyone know of a place locally I might be able to call to get a used front wheel for my C5. (Junkyard, etc.)

Need a front off a 97-99. It is a 17"X8.5", with a 5X4-3/4" bolt pattern, with a 50mm offset I believe.

I noticed I had a slow leak during the test and tune and found out I have cracked my right front wheel on the inside edge. I bought another set from someone off Ebay but they won't be here until next week. I would rather not run the school and race this weekend on my run flat Michelins if I don't have to.

Have you checked http://www.car-part.com/? I found a 1998 Saab wheel located on Raleigh thanks to that website.

Didn't check there. Thanks for the link. It turned up a few but they are in the western half of the state.

Chris,

Contact Mark Vitacco. Our Time Trial Pres. Those black powder coated C5 wagon wheels on my car are a split set. He had 2 complete sets of C5 wheels. We split them. I have all 4 of the rear ones in 18 x 9.5 rims with my street tires on them. He kept all 4 of the fronts that you want. 17 x 8.5 rims. Last I knew they were sitting in boxes in his garage.

If you're desperate some of the local salvage yards might have some. But I'm sure they won't be Ebay prices...

Check on corvetteforum in the C5 Parts area. Maybe you'll luck out and find someone fairly local with one left over.

Graham

Thanks Graham. I'll try to contact Mark and see if he still has/is willing to get rid of one.
