I have serious objections to the new payment rules established.

I had a Paypal account. Recently, I was forced to cancel it because someone tried to illegally access it. Just this week, an attempt to access the cancelled account was made again.

I am unable to make payments at club meetings because I live 2 hours away from Raleigh.

We pay dues. I feel we should get a little more perk than just being able to register early for an event.

Fine, I'll go along with early payments. Why can't a payment by mail to the registrar be just as acceptable as Paypal or payment at meetings?

This is a great reason to have an autox season pass. Pay once and you are done with it for the entire year.

Payments can be mailed to

THSCC Registrar
117 Brass Ring Court
Cary, NC 27513

Checks should be made out to THSCC. You need to note what event the payment is for.

Please note that payment must be received prior to the event. Also, I'm not responsible for payments that are lost in the mail.

I have been getting e-mails from paypal to update my information. My account has been inactive for some time. I finally went to the paypal.com link in the e-mail and McAfee flagged the access as a Virus attempt to access a file on my machine. I have just scanned my machine again and have a clean bill of health. So beware. By the way I have a firewall and McAfee is up to date.

Paypal shouldn't be sending you emails to update your information.

These emails are fraudulent. You can read about these emails at the PayPal website:

It isn't just PayPal. I've been getting a few dozen that come from PayPal, banks, credit card companies, and others. They are all scams. The people doing this send them out in hopes that you have an account with the company listed and click on the link they provide. You get routed to a server they setup that traps all the info you type out. Now they have your account info.

ANY company that sends you an email saying to update your records over the web should be questioned. Don't follow the link. The hyperlink in the the email looks something like -support.paypal.com- but if you view the source of the email you'll find the real IP address and it isn't PayPal. I traced a few of these and sent notices to the companies being scammed and the real IP address hiding behind it.

Kevin,

You can give me the money and I will take it to the meeting.

Of course, some scams are far less sophisticated.
