yes volks, its true... general motors and Auto VAZ, of russia.. ( Volzhsky Automobilny Zavod)
has joint venture and now are doing work with one brand of auto vaz: LADA.. looking
to put in opel 1.8 motor.. and exporting it to like britain, hungary, and other
countries in mainland europe, as well, GAZ(grozhny automobilny zavod) is looking
to sell 5000
gaz volgas to use in iraq as taxis.. hmmm in poliburo days, the GAZ volga was a
nice car to have..

i have a link on the net to site that has gm-auto vaz joint venture: type in motorcities.com
then a menu comes up, then look upper left.. it should have a space to type in
lada niva.. then look for gm-lada niva joint venture.. it should come up.

also.. india has a suv coming out in india... the mehindra goa.. a nine seat suv,
the size of a ford explorer... it looks like a montero with a jeep grill and a
emblem from a oldsmobile.. 2.6 litre diesel four..
willl it see the usa, maybe maybe not.. i dont know yet..

that's the news from the other part of the world..

the politburo was a long time ago. lots has changed since then...don't count on the russians making decent cars, let alone seeing them anywhere this side of the ocean.
