I'm still alive, just recovering from the delivery of our twin girls on August 6th. Everyone is healthy, it's just a big damn change!

Our two year old boy has had some adjusting, too.

I've had plenty of time to think about stuff. Here I submit a proposal for a design revision to the human race. Just a few minor tweaks:

1- stomach size to body ratio needs to increase
2- burping should be a natural skill - really, a baby horse can walk within minutes, is it too much to ask?
3- there should be less traumatizing means of burning energy than crying
4- speaking of crying, 3 or 4 cry protocols to identify specificneeds would be ideal!

If I could just determine who to send it to!

I'll be back on track one day....

Congratulations!

Another suggestion: there should be some sort of signal preceding the elimination of various bodily fluids (or solids).

Congrats Jim!!! I've got 2 girls also. But I don't think I could handle them as twins! 2 years apart is hard enough. At least you have your son to help boost the testosterone level in your house!

Good luck!

Congrats Jim! I'm really happy for you. Just think, in 18 years or so, you'll have the house all to yourself again... maybe. :)

I have a friend with 5 kids. I asked him once which one was the most difficult. He said having child number 3 was. It was the first time he and his wife were outnumbered!

I thought that was hilarious!

Twins? That's like two of them, at the same time? Oh My God.

Well, if some is good, then more must be better, right? Congrats :)

Wow, you, too Chris! Congrats. Boys/Girls or pot-luck? Are you still man-on-man or are you on zone-defense like we are with 3 of them?

Thanks to everyone for the good sentiments. Here are some pix:

Hi Jim,

Beautiful little girls! We had a boy and a girl and we're first time parents, so we're mano-a-mano. But, when they get wound up at the same time we feel outmanned big time!

Congratulations Jim and Jane. Don't worry, You'll have plenty of time later. . . . . When you learn how to Juggle.

Can't wait till you put them behind the wheel in 16 short years. :)
