OK guys and gals. Time to empy those pockets and clean out the couch cushions! We need to pool all our money together and buy THIS place.

It has EVERYTHING a motorsports enthusiast would want:

A 1.65 mile, somewhat technical looking, road course.
A .25 mile oval and a .5 mile oval
A Motocross track
A quarter midget oval
An R/C race oval
Grandstand seating for 3,000
A Helipad
A Hospitality Pavillion
And most importantly a HUGE parking lot, suitable for Autocrossing!!!!!!!

To top it off, it is in a part of the country known for great weather.

So what to do you say. Can I put everybody down for a few hundred thousand dollars???

I already have a vehilce to autocross. Can't afford a track car, midget racer, motocross bike or an R/C car for that matter. Therefore the big ass parking lot looks appealing to me. No if someone wanted to let me take his bitchin' Impreza around the open dirt area in the lower left of the picture, I wouldn't complain at all!!!

Actually, I guess if I owned the joint, I wouldn't have to worry about safety gear. I could take my minivan on the road course if I wanted to. Hmmmmm. Maybe I need to talk Rebecca into letting me buy a BIG plot of land so I can build one of these things myself!!!!!!

Wes, yes NM is a long way to go for an autocross, but unlike Laurinburg, you'll be able to say "It's a dry heat". That's got count for something.

Maybe after United, USAIR, Delta and a few other airlines go bankrupt, the RDU Airport authority will rent us the runways to use on the days they don't have scheduled air service out of Raleigh

That place was declared in gross and flagrant violation of it's Special Use permit by the local zoning board and shut down by court order this past spring. There isnt a snowball's chance that it will ever be allowed to reopen as a racing venue.

Chuck,

The one in New Mexico too? There was one near Phoenix that had the "problems" you report.

I may be confusing them then, I didn't think there was two nearly identical operations.

The sellers say "The property that had a problem with zoning was the Albuquerque National Dragway, Not Sandia Motorsports Park." At $3,999,269 the reserve still has not been met. I gues that still leaves me about $3,999,000 short. Maybe if I sell the 210 I will only be $3,998,990 short.
