Missed all of our significant and very successful autocross and "other" sports and performance cars owned over the years including Datsun 260Z, Lotus Europa (2), Sunbeam Tiger and Alpine, various V-8 Mustangs and Cougar. We haven't owned any of the cars on the list.

Top 100 cars for what? Do they specify anywhere?

Eh...do we really need like five line items for various Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions? Woulda made more sense to me to have "Lancer Evolution variants 92-present" like they did with the Mini for example.

No Corvette, Viper, Ferarri or Porsche content at all. That's all wrong too. Hell, I'm pretty sure a 360 Modena or a Viper wins their "Ultimate Street Car Challenge" basically every year.

Oh well, what do you expect from a group of folks who thought painting a WRX STi BBQ Grill black looks "badass."

Every car I've ever owned is on that list! :D

2. '94 Civic Coupe EX - 1st car
4. '01 Integra Type R - I will have within 2 weeks!
21. '00 Civic Si Coupe - bought new and had to sell because of lack of money
30. '95 Integra GSR - current car (STS)

its probably a little different when they are ratting the old and new mini as equal in the rating so the fall into one place instead of two sequential places.. it doesnt make sence to group them togther when 2 different versions of the evo are 50 places apart from each other.. it is a ranked list and not just a compilation..

:? No E-types of any variant? No XK120/140's? But Honda Civics and the Hyundai Tiburon are solidly represented. C'mon, if you could rank any car made in the last 50 years that you'd lust for, would a Hyundai Tiburon really make the list?

Can you give us the criteria for making the list? Unless there is some pretty tight criteria defined in the article, I'd be dropping my subscription to this mag right away!

(It's all in fun. At least they included the M3.)

If exotic rear engine handmade tubeframe cars designed especially for Group B rallying are allowed on the list, then certainly the rice is not.

It's an odd list. They don't really define what it takes to be a "Sport Compact Car". But im assuming it excludes "sports" cars such as vettes, mustangs, camoros, porsches, ferrari, etc etc etc. I think the idea may be that they are sporty cars based on more mundane platforms. Who the heck knows.

I own two cars on the list. And I'm pretty sure I'd put my M3 well above in the rankings over my Mk2 GTi. But hey thats just me. These guys write magazines so they must be genious!

14 Varients of Evo that youare not allowed by Mitsu to drive over 55 without voiding the warranty.

No Fiats, only 1 Alfa, No MGs, Sunbeams etc

However there are 2 versions of Dodge Omnis, and a Conquest (a rebadged Mitsub)

Who sponsored this Mitsubishi

This is the same mag that painted a brand freakin' new STi "Rattle Can Black", step back and say [Beavis mode on] Uhhhh Uhhhh Thats Cool [/Beavis Mode Off]

Hey they didnt include EVERY EVO in the list, the venerable EVO 6.5 is missing. The tools even list the Talon's separate from Eclipse's (Same car), and the Stealths separate from the 3000gt's (Ditto)

I have owned several Datsun 510s #9 over the years. After the 510 and 240Z years Nissan made a lot of crap. The 260Z does not belong on the list because it was heavier and slower than my Dad's 71 240Z.
