By the title, it sounds like you were the car going over the car with the in-car camera. Either way, what a ride!

Nope Not me, from what I undeerstand the car that got leaped over had a burn out mark on his hood from the leaping miata, apparntley they never let off the gas...

If you step through the video one frame at a time you'll see that none of the airborne wheels are turning. Pretty good clue to me that the driver was in a "WTF, both feet in mode" - of course the brakes won't do much good with the wheels three feet off the ground.

So maybe the burnout marks were skid marks.

I noticed the same thing, however, WiMP doesn't appear to actually do frame by frame, so people that aren't using Quicktime would never have made that observation.

Could be I was just going by what was posted in the orginal post, also I I belive the car that flew over the hood also hit the miata he jumped.

Yes, I think he was hit too. Just before the Miata appears you can see the driver try to correct for an unexpected turn to the left which, I suspect, resulted from his rear end being pushed to the right by the Miata.

The Miata is very fortunate he didn't roll.

So does anyone know how the flying Miata got up there? Even with someone jumping the curbing, I would expect not much more than a rearend collision. But that guy was way up there- somehow he got his right front wheel up far enough to surmount the camera car's trunk...

I was cleaning out my hard drive and watched this one more time. It looks like there could have been a third vehicle involved.

Around 16 seconds in, as the camera car is working it's way back on track there's another car (different from the Air Jordan Edition Miata) that's getting back on track. You can see the dust and then see the other Miatas on track compress behind him.

Still doesn't explain how that silver one got up that high, but could a third car have "helped?"

I'm not sure what I'm driving.
Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.
