Hey y'all-
Sorry for the short notice, but if any of you have some free time tomorrow, Matthew Johnson could really use your help.
As some of you already know, Matthew is building up a Subaru WRX rally car from several donor cars. After many man-hours of cutting, welding, grinding and wrenching, he's put together 1 complete street car, and passed a key milestone- passing his salvage inspection.
The next step is to strip the car down to the bare shell, so it's ready to send out for acid dipping, seam welding, roll cage installation, and painting. He's hoping to get that teardown, from roadworthy to bare shell, done in a single day - tomorrow. He's currently got a handful of volunteers coming to help for various lengths of time, but there's plenty of room for more help, and he's asked me to put the word out to help get it.
So, if you think you can help, please give Matthew a call at 919-244-7502 and let him know what you can offer. He is offering pizza and beer (and thanks!) in return.
Even if you can't help tomorrow, do check out the website for his new team, Carolina RallySport, at
www.carolinars.com.
Thanks,
Carl & Matthew
