The $2003 monster Miata was an achievement in creative accounting as well as sheer engineering skill.

One of the Mongrels brought a "Mostly Stock" CRX... with a mostly stock 350ci engine, mostly stock Corvette front suspension and K member, mostly stock Mustang 5.0 floorpan and mostly stock Mustang rear end. It was pretty kick-butt.

That Miata looked AWESOME. The CRX did also. I didn't realize it was the same guys. They are engineering geniuses!

An Omni GLH is a K car. Those weren't exactly slow.

I used to have an Omni, not a GLH, but an Omni nonetheless. Plain and simple, THAT CAR SUCKED. I don't care what they did to the engine. THAT CAR STILL SUCKED.

Todd, I'm envious, too! There's a guy at work who has a Sunburst Yellow Mk 1. They are sweet!

Mine is a 1992, also, but Crystal White. Drives great, even with 133Kmiles on it. :-)

Enjoy your new toy!

Thanks Jon,

I believe that there are now 3 92 Sunburst yellows in Raleigh. I've seen one in an office park on Falls of the Neuse and one in an office parking lot on Glenwood (different lisence plates). It's cool having a rare color.

I had forgotten just how much fun these things are to drive. My wife doesn't want to drive the Mustang anymore because she is having so much fun in the Miata!!!
