Well, my dvr recorded the new season of Wheeler Dealers. That wasn't intentional as Edd China had convinced me they would be crap. I've watched two now and other than thinking the new guy's name is stupid (Ant) I can't dislike him. He actually does a better job of explaining the workings of what he is doing. Sorry Edd, I have to keep watching.

I watched one, which is about all I could stand because of the British accent and alternate terms for all the car parts (wing for fender, bonnet for hood, etc.). I can't believe someone would play that kind of money for an old Ford Escort, Cosworth or not.

Dude! It's a cossie!

An aspirational car for the youths of the 90's. An European Supra if you will.

Besides, with the amount of attrition due to all the rust in the UK finding a good one is rare.
Plus technically it really a Sierra RS 4x4 chassis hidden under an Escort looking body.

You are just a hater, and you only watch these type of shows for the hot wives.

I do agree that I don't understand the appeal of that car but I thought he did a great job of explaining the turbo so it is educational for those who don't understand stuff. I also watched the one on the Dodge a100 van because I thought those were way cool when I was a kid. My dvr cut off so I don't know what they got for it, it was probably stupid money too. After having done 150 other cars they are running out of options of what cars to get. I'm not sure how much life it has left but I'm watching for a while

That's a good reason to watch Iron Resurrection (Amanda Martin) for sure, but Joe and his crew still build some really cool stuff. Also I think someone mentioned Amanda was getting too much screen time in season 1, and they have cut her appearances back a lot for season 2. :(

Yeah, I am pretty much ok with the new show too. I get the older cars they are old tech but still cool as you have to look at them in the context of time and in the context of place. Cars across the pond emphasized nimble handling over hp vs here it was the opposite.

I've kind of stopped even turning on Velocity any more. All they are is one reality show building stupid expensive cars and every show is the same - hell sometimes they are even the same people. They all take some old car, throw an LS into it. Have made up time pressure; or take some new car with 600hp, decide it needs more and put a supercharger on it, lower it, put whatever exhaust the sponsor sell on it, have some dopey C list celebrity buy it etc.
