Pam has been wanting some good Chinese food from a sit down restaurant, not a take out joint. Any recommendations in the triangle area? Prefer Ral/Cary before Durham, bit of a drive for us.

I really like this place for Dim Sum, but it is in Durham - http://www.hongkongdimsumindurham.com/index.html

It's usually years in between my visits because I forget about it, but I've never had bad food from Five Star.

I used to live near Peking Garden on the corner of Six Forks and Millbrook. It is an older restaurant. The prices are very fair and the service is excellent. So far as the food goes, what you order matters. The typical American Chinese is so-so, but the authentic dishes are very good. Do a little research before you go, it will pay off.

If you want to try Korean food, Seoul Garden on the corner of Millbrook and Atlantic is really good. Communication can be difficult sometimes (unless you speak Korean). My wife usually just points to the menu.

...not as old as what was started at that location. Is anyone here old enough to remember Lock, Stock and Barrel? :)

I remember Lock, Stock, and Barrel. I even went to the drive in movie theater that was on Capital Blvd.

Red Dragon is my neighborhood go-to. It's on Fairview on the corner at Oberlin next to Mandolin.

Not fancy, but always great and easy on the wallet. Lunch specials are $6 with soup and you won't be disappointed.

We used to hit 5 Star all the time but it doesn't seem as good as it once did.

Thanks for the link Matt, that sounds like a good option and decently close.
