They will add your DNA to a database and, when you crap in the neighbors yard you *will* get busted.

Some high end apartment complexes do this already for pets. You have to submit a sample when you move in and if they find poop not picked up they'll test it. It's only a matter of time before they're doing it for humans, lol.

All these responses and nobody has brought up the conspiracy theories yet about how to government will eventually wind up with your DNA in a database?

If I'd seen this early enough I would have. THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD SUBMIT MY DNA TO THEM. Eventually the insurance companies will buy that data from them and use it to say that you have a 30% chance base on your DNA of contracting Beri Beri and therefore your premiums will rise 35% this year. They will have to increase their revenue stream from something besides selling you the kit and probably some scrapbooks.

I feel like a conspiracy theorists for even thinking it, but this is honestly a reason I haven't done it. They might have my finger prints, but i'll be damned if i'm going to give the government DNA to try and prosecute me for anything lol.

You are protected from most discrimination based on your genome sequence by the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) of 2008.
