Chuck, I don't think the trick-or-treaters were old enough to get this message at your house, but it was still funny.

:D :D :D I aim to please and of course educate all the little ones at the same time.

Interestingly, the M3 had its first issue 2 weeks prior to the CPO warranty expiring and the first issue since new six years ago. The SES light illuminated, and I felt vindicated that I could finally extract a warranty claim! Sadly, it was simply indicating that the 6-year old battery wasn't holding a charge properly any longer, and it was time to replace it. :( Warranty is now gone, so it's time for the car to blow up.

Just to chime in, it's time to ask again when I can buy the ZHP from your daughter Chuck. Any chance of this being in the near future?

The last I talked with her about it, she said there is nothing newer that remotely appeals to her. :) I've not heard anything different recently.

I'll be down to her place in a couple of weeks, so I can ask again. I'm going to an event at the Michelin Proving Grounds on their long wet track -- it's apparently a blast to drive/learn on since you don't need to use your wipers as it is flooded to an exact depth from ground level supply. Should be fun.

Take your car to a rallycross the weekend before so you won't waste the free undercarriage washing.

Sorry Rodney, just saw her this past weekend, and she doesn't have any plans to sell the car.

Michelin wet course event was fantastic. Lots of practice drifting and linking 5-6 corners together with a continuous drift. Then we did a time trial on the same wet course which of course required great patience and no significant slides to net the FTD. Afterward we went over to Michelin's 1/2 mile skidpad which was unreal. I've never been on nor seen a skidpad that's a half-mile in circumference, and it was briefly intimidating, but that quickly turned into 3rd gear drifting at ~60-70mph. I made it almost one full lap in a nice drift. The water level and surface were incredibly constant all the way around.

What VK said.... by the way, jealous of this event. Would love to do this.

As for the ZHP, I'm now officially giving up on trying to buy it

You're a CCA member? Keep track of the Sandlapper (SC) chapter events, and if one comes up you want to attend, add that chapter to your membership and sign up. They have great "autocrosses" at the Performance Center (very fast course, no course working allowed, usually 12-15 runs) and then events like this one at Michelin's proving grounds.

That's good info, appreciated. Will they allow a lowly mustang out on course? I can't fit in either bimmer with a helmet...

Non-BMWs are only allowed at the Michelin events since the Performance Center requires people to use a BMW on their track.

Been thinking about finding a decent e46 330. I know there's a few out there with no sunroof. Just have to find a decent example. Problem is, I've done so much to the mustang, not sure I want to sell it, but (wait for it.....)

might be time to sell it for something else to play with. =)

Why not bring the Mustang to the track and let the big dog eat? We'll even let you use ALL of...wait for it...FOURTH gear! :car:

Back in the summer there was a car just like Jackie's at Truett's for repair -- 2003 Imola ZHP 6MT no sunroof. It wasn't in as good of shape cosmetically as hers however. Anyway, you could always ask Truett to hunt the owner down.
