Hi All! Team Simon Says needs your help! We've got a few folks lined up, but could use 1-2 more to come hang out and crew with us at this year's 24-hour event at VIR, THIS weekend (Aug 13-14). This year's schedule has us running from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday.

For those that don't know us well, Simon has had a great past handful of years in Chumpcar, having won or been on the podium for 4 out the past 5 24's. Especially for The 24, crew help is critical to that success.

You don't need to be a pro to come help! Everything you need to know can be learned over a beer on Friday night at the track, or Weds night during our final car preparation in N. Raleigh. The only gear needed is a set of mostly-leather shoes (we have extra suits, gloves, and helmets for the fuelers). We have a camper trailer and enclosed car hauler with cots and air conditioning for mid-race snoozes. The pay sucks, but we will feed and caffeinate you, and it is a good time (particularly if you make it up to party with us Friday night!). And, if you're at all interested in racing at the next level, there's far worse ways to pick up some tips!

Feel free to email me at dmfred_at_gmail_dot_com or call me at [ nine-one-nine 656 eight seven eight one ] if you have any questions! Thanks for considering!

If you are on the fence about doing this... you should do it! I try to do this every year with the Simon team and it is a lot of fun. I would do it this year, but have out of town guests that weekend so I can't make it this year.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

I've done this race several times with the Simon team. It's a blast and if you're able to spend the weekend at VIR you should do it.

Huge Congrats!

A friend asked me Thursday night if I had any predictions about the race. I told him "Simon will do well". It was an easy prediction. Well deserved win.

HUGE thanks to Rodney, Hashim, Cody, Truth, and Marc for filling-out 'Team Simon' for this year's 24 Hour WIN at VIR. There are always challenges and issues to work when attempting to run a race for 24 straight hours, but our biggest challenge this year was the heat, with less than half the starting grid finishing this year's race. These guys endured the challenge and kept the race running for us, clicking off excellent pitstops for us all day and night, literally and figuratively keeping us 'on track', and enabling Simon's 3rd straight, and 4th overall, Win of 'The 24'. Being successful for this race simply isn't possible without crew support, and these guys were awesome. Kudos to you guys for making this win possible.

V for Victory:

Heat. Was. Brutal.

To Dustin's point, while the mostly rookie pit crew did their job, hats off to Dustin, Mike, Rob and Jason for driving your race. I was listening to the strategy over the weekend and this is a well run team. Also driving consistently in this heat and keeping your wits about you can take its toll. Saw many folks take a ride in an ambulance.... I know the BeastMode team took some hits due to drivers being sick. This heat can eat you up....
