As some of you know, the Impala SS had an encounter with a SUV Thursday night. The insurance company informed me this afternoon the car is a total loss.

I will give it its final props for a job well done in protecting myself and the dogs. We all walked away in fairly good shape.

It was a lousy way to start the weekend.

Damn Jim, that sucks!!!!! Glad to hear that you and the kids are alright though.

What is this BAD trend of totaled THSCC cars right now?

Glad that everyone is okay. This has not been a good holiday weekend for Tarheel drivers on the open road.

That sucks. Sorry to hear it!

Dude, if it's still running, buy it back and turn it into a rallycross car :)

My condolences. I feel your pain.

Maybe you can use the insurance settlement to get the Marauder you always wanted.

Bummer Jim! Glad you and the twins are ok :D

Buy it back and pull the LT1. Then stick it in the MR2. You'll get all the torque you want

Maybe the GTO is in your future...

Graham

Sorry about the car, but we're all glad you walked away without serious injury. Good luck finding a replacement.

I feel your pain. My dad had a '96 since new. He sold it last year and I hated to see it go. At least it left in one piece. Heavy as hell but tons of fun!
