Here's my car history, starting with current (sort of):

1996 Mazda Miata: 155.5" (89.2" wheelbase)
1997 Mazda Miata: 155.5" (89.2" wheelbase) *wrecked* Don't fall asleep while driving!
1994 Porsche 968: 170.1" (94.5" wheelbase)
1998 Buick Century Custom: 194.6" (109" wheelbase)
1996 Saturn SL: 176.8" (102.4" wheelbase)
1982 Ford F-100 XLT Lariat (regular cab shortbed): 213.3" (133" wheelbase)

Now motorcycles:
2002 Suzuki GSF1200S Bandit: 84" (58" wheelbase)
2000 Suzuki GS500E: 82" (55.3" wheelbase)

Small motorcycles are a LOT smaller than trucks, just in case you weren't aware.

Superlatives - I'm sure Les Davis would agree that my victory over him in the 2007 Jimmy V Bracket race - my Fox body Mustang vs. his yellow Z06 - was a superlative! :poke:

Regarding the long and the short of it, here are two cars I saw at the Pinehurst Concours d'Elegance last Saturday.

Why the hell would Porsche even MAKE the 918 in that color. That is AWFUL.

Reminds me of the time I saw a champagne beige 997 911 in RTP. There are certain cars and color combinations that just should not exist.

I'm pretty sure I saw that P1 yesterday on 440 coming from Cary into Raleigh.

I saw the news item on WRAL about the NC guy who build that replica of Capt. Nemo's car. I know that is a bit of love/hate design, but I always found it interesting. Kudos to him for making it.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

1996 Ford F250 Crew Cab 238"
1977 Lincoln Town Car 233"
1973 MG Midget 137"
And that's the long and short of it. The Town car just barely beat the my similar vintage 1960 Chevrolet Step Van Krispy Kream doughnut truck converted into a camper (thicker chrome on the bumper).
