The Focus SVT is one of the few cars I've owned that I really miss. I don't care for the looks of the standard Focus, but the extra bits they add to the SVT make it bearable. Otherwise, it does everything else pretty darn well, especially for beater purposes. My only real complaint about it was the dual mass flywheel made it a little slow to rev, but it's pretty fun to toss around otherwise.

here is the guy's post:
Quote:
Buy my old audi!!!! 2002 S4 w upgraded turbos. Solid running motor /trans. Tip auto.

Figured id toss this out there.

So the guy that took my Audi on a trade offerd to sell it back to me for less than he paid me for it. I guess he doesn't feel like repairing it and reselling it after all. (Nor do I) I'll put anyone interested in direct touch with the current owner. $1500 obo folks!!!

The car needs
power steering pump
T stat /water pump ( both are kaput, causing the car to overheat)
Timing belt should be done while your in there.
It also needs valve cover gaskets.

Suspension control arm bushings should also be repaired ( via new control arms)

178 thousand miles.

Motor runs awesome and makes proximately 330 horsepower and is equipped with ko 4 turbo chargers and a one bar/ 15 psi Apr chip

The interior could most certainly use some freshening up .

Buy this pimp fixer upper!!

Looks to be in decent shape cosmetically.

He mentions a timing belt. That looks like a bunch of chains to me.

Yep, that pic above is the V8 out of the B6 S4 I think. Those tensioners go bad with age, need to be replaced, and that part of the engine is up against the firewall.

The S4 you've mentioned is a B5 S4 with the twin turbo V6 (2000-2002) which has timing belts on the front of the engine that need replacing every 80k miles or so. It's a complicated enough engine in its own right with twin turbos, twin intercoolers, 5 valves per cylinder, etc, but it's pretty bulletproof. That list of stuff in that ad though can sum up to a tidy sum just for the parts. Offer the guy $500 and part the car, lol.

Ok here's the list in order of how interested I am. The ones you guys missed are in bold :)

1. Mini Cooper
2. Acura RSX Type S
3. Ford Focus SVT
4. EP Civic Si
5. Celica GTS
6. Mazda Protege 5
7. Saab 9-3
8. Subaru Impreza/Outback/WRX/Saab 9-2x
9. Mazda 3
10. GTI VR6

Ohh... I had meant to include the Acura on my list, but forgot. I did mention the Ford on my initial list, but I didn't say SVT (that was assumed! ;) )

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Except I've kind of sort of talked myself into a Cooper S :(

The Cooper S will be a lot more fun than the Protege...but you still have that pesky 330i you need to off load :)

You should have said that when we had our last transaction. You could buy my track mini and make it street legal but I think that's above what you want to spend. I don't think I could part with my Blue one, I do all my advertising with it and it has Mario Andretti's autograph on the dash.

Seems like you'd be ahead if you had held on to your GSR. Most of the cars on your list are just GSR-lite.

Don't you already have a 944 project car that fits pretty much all the criteria (except newish)?

Mike I don't know how you do it. Keeping after my two cars plus the wife's car is about all I'm willing or able to deal with. :)
