I've been worrying about Rodney lately, as I'm sure many of you have been. The poor guy can't seem to find a car he likes that he can fit into. Well, I've found the perfect vehicle. Rodney has seen it before, but he must be in denial about how much he loves it. Let's help him get through his mental block !

Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything but he has been like the guy you start seeing at your favorite watering hole. Never with his wife anymore and flirting with every thing in skirt. He is going and looking at everything that shows up on Swap and Sell and then says "oh but I'm married" I mean "oh but I can't fit".

Rodney, admit it the Bullitt marriage is over. It's not her, you have just outgrown her. You need more. She will find a good home.

I can have my 996 introduce you to some of her friends, their perfect.

Rodney - At least I waited until I was on Medicare and Social Security to have a mid life (I wish) crisis. Well maybe more like "now or never" crisis. :D

By the way, at the track tech day, he just had to see if he could fit in the Camaro, I almost couldn't fully depress my clutch after he got done with her....

Speaking of Hot Wheels, a friend at work gave me one of these today:

Said his daughter was home from grad school on break, had been cleaning out things in her old bedroom, and found it in a box of toys. She didn't remember where she got it and neither did her father. But he knew who should own it next!

This is really cool. When I was 10 or so, I begged my mother to write a check for me so that I could apply to the Hot Wheels club and get this car. The car and club materials were sent in a padded envelope and the car arrived with the roof smashed in.

Currently the "new" and intact Boss Hoss is doing a wheelie on my desk at work. :D

speaking of my cars; past, present and yet to be purchased, I have my original e36 back in possession after being gone for 3-1/2 years. Looking back at my old records, I bought this car from Chip at Atlantic Auto back in August of '03. This was my first real autox car that went through many iterations, then sold to Jordan and bought back, then sold to my nephew and bought back, then on a 4 month loan to my oldest son. Now it's back in the driveway.

Wow, this thing needs some serious work. Even when it was w/ my nephew, I still did all of the maintenance work on it, but it lead a tough live. Tons of little things I have to address like paint touch up on the front bumper, wet sand the crappy macco paint job, THOROUGH interior cleaning, fix the drivers side window, and the list goes on. I bought this car w/ 82k miles on the odo. Now it's sitting at 237k miles. This beast still runs strong, pulls strong and no smoke at start up. These in line 6s are amazing...

What I am finding is I'm not really excited to have this car back in the stable. SO much I could do to it to get it ready to autox and track, but not sure I want to spend the bucks on it. I'll clean it up, but I think that's it for now. I will fix a few oil leaks, mainly the oil pan gasket. Time will tell if the love affair will crank back up. More than likely I'll sell it about this time next year once the mustang is paid off and I can grab another car. This would make a great spec e36 car, just say'n if someone wanted to make an offer...

Actually thinking about a mx5. Hell, if Brice and Mike can drive one, so can I. Next year I turn 60, so maybe a b-day present to myself...

Spec E36 is a ghost town, besides isn't it a 2.8l? Chump it, you and the boys could build it and race together...............

I wouldn't call Spec3 a ghost town. It doesn't pull se30/SM numbers, but it still pulls more cars than most race classes.

Although, I would wonder how many more new cars get built with Tower's new series going national.
