Curious about club opinions on them...

Has anyone had experiences with them, positive or negative? Are they similar to CarMax?

Thanks!

I went there.... once.... Not sure I'm going to return. Don't say you're a first time visitor, you'll get the full "why you need to buy from us" spiel. Unlike carmax where you can go outside and look, you are assigned a sales associate. Just don't dig that, I don't need someone selling me a car when I stop to look at something.

That said, I welcome your opinion on that place. Maybe I have the wrong impression....

I was in there last week and what you say is certainly right. It wasn't really a bad experience though, and the car I looked at was much better priced than carmax and much cleaner. Of course this is likely just how the car was taken care of. The one at carmax though had fewer options, was older with more miles and there was only a $400 difference, so I felt like Auction direct may have better prices.

I haven't spent much time there other than to just look at a specific car they had, so I haven't dealt with them past that.

I went with Chad when he went, and while the initial 'spiel' was kind of obnoxious, it wouldn't have been a deal breaker for me. Initially, it sounded like the 'consultant' that walked around with you was going to be the salesperson, despite the fact that they're not commissioned. Of course, I suppose they could hand you off to a salesperson once you've decided on the car you want, so maybe that's all for naught.

In any case, the brief amount of time I spent on the lot, I was actually incredibly impressed with the quality of the car they had. The 'consultant' said that they fully detail the car themselves before putting it on the lot - if that's the case, then they did a relatively good job of it (with this one, anyways).

Also, I think I remember them mentioning that they might do price matching? At the very least, they went through the whole 'You won't find a lower price than here' bit.

Thanks! Good to know. I will keep them on the radar for now.

Those really don't exist (except for the Keene's), do they?

They do exist, and one was recently sold to auction direct.
