Looks good. Hopefully it'll be out in time so I can get stomped by Shawn for next year. :P

I like it from the photos and it's probably one of those cars like the new WRX & Sti that look better in person. The wheels look great; probably because they don't look OEM. I read that it's 4-lug with 16" wheels, so I guess they are pretty serious about the lightness.

The best looking Miata to me is the still the Club, which looks very similar.

I think it looks really good. Mazda hasn't said anything about engine's output. People are going to be disappointed when it makes about the same peak power as an NC.

Mazda mentions a possible 1.5 and 2.0 litre option, probably the same range of power as the NC (as mentioned earlier) but with a better weight:power ratio. I bet it's a noticeable improvement, but the six-speed could prove problematic if 2d is geared too short. Not sure if lower CoG and lighter weight is enough to make it viable against the S2000 in STR trim, would be in a tough class against the BRZ/FRS/370Z in CS. Would be interesting to see how it performs in CSP, though.

I like it. Would be cool to have another capable car in STR.

The first mention of a Toyobaru in CS on Tuesday came in 8th place. Lots of 370s, RX-8s, and Miatas ahead of the twins.

Yep, forgot the RX8. Don't count out the FRS/BRZ, though. I would not be quick to make that kind of generalization from one event. Other NT events show they are quite capable in CS.
