this has probably been asked/answered before, but does a VA title (where notarization is not required) have to be notarized before i can register the vehicle in nc?

Hmm, good question. I've only done NC to VA, not VA to NC. The VA dmv looked at me like I was crazy when I brought in a notarized title. I would guess not as VA won't expect the title to be notarized (just signed) before they transfer it to NC.

As long as the VA title has all the info required for a transfer, you don't need it notarized.

You will need to have your Signature notarized on the NC title application.
