Chip from Atlantic auto buzzed me and asked if anyone knows about a blue '70 corvette that's over at performance chevy. It looks to have a THSCC sticker on it. Does anyone have any info on this? Chip is interested in trying to talk to the former owner if possible...

Probably my old car. Sold it to a guy near Lake Jordon last year. You can pass my info on if he still wants to talk about the car. I built the car from the ground up so I will know anything he wants to find out about.

Just looked at the car on their website and it is my old Stingray for sure.

Those pictures made me think that we should look at channel sales for memberships. THSCC membership included with purchase of new/used Corvette.

The funny thing is that this isn't a bad idea. Work out sponsorship with a couple of dealers who sell performance cars like Mazda, Toyabaru, and Honduh to include that and maybe we get a few new converts who want to use their new cars right. I think Subaru included an SCCA membership with the WRX or something and then kilt your warranty if you actually drove the car hard a few years back

I called the dealership about my old car, already sold. I probably couldn't afford to get it back anyways. But the idea of included a membership with a free autocross, rallycross, or a discounted HPDE could be a really cool way to get some others hooked and find some new members.

Wouldn't involving the dealership quickly void any warranty on the car if they could prove it was used for racing?
