Anyone had any good experience with a traffic lawyer working in Robersonville County? My non-autocrosser daughter went trolling and found that they rise to the bait if you go 82 in a 55.
Just must be some bad karma in the Guthrie household this year. Too many years of good karma, I guess.

Last time I got a ticket out of the way I called the chamber of commerce in a town close to where I was ticketed. They were happy to provide me a list of lawyers registered with the chamber to talk to. Turns out most of the lawyers on the list were into real estate but the first one I called gave me the number to another lawyer that was more than happy to take care of the ticket for me.

I used the Law office's of Musselwhite Musselwhite and McAntire? Ofcourse, I am sure they spell there name's correct, unlike me. I also think they may have gained/lost lawyers since then. Been about 12 years but they were the Big Boy's in town.

I know folks would be happy to know, that was when I "Lost My License" for two speeding ticket's within one year. Not good when You are a CDL Driver. I say all that to say this. She will have to SLOW DOWN for a year unless thing's have changed in NC.

Best of Luck,
Bill Gratton (now driving a Tractor Trailer that will only top out at 65mpg)

Man, that must be one of them fancy new hybrid tractor trailers. I could use one these days...

Charlie, how's your daughter's driving record? If it's not squeaky clean, then about all the lawyer could do is reduce it a step (maybe just 19 over). Don't know if prayer for judgement would work on speeds like that, but if it does, she'll have 3 slow years ahead of her.

good luck...

She might not be that bad off. I got 89 in a 55 plus reckless driving charges almost three years ago. At the time, I already had one ticket that I plead guilty to 44 in a 35. My lawyer got the speeding reduced to 70 in a 55. Anything over 15 MPH above the limit is much worse than >15 over. He also got the reckless driving dropped. This was all done through negotiations with the district attorney's office. The case never went to court.

Good luck on the ticket...I don't know any lawyers in that area to recommend.

If she has a clean record, you might get it reduced to 64 in a 55 with a good lawyer. It really depends on how hard-assed the district attorney's office wants to be.

I'd expect a mailbox full of lawyers' mail in the coming weeks.
