Why do you think I didn’t want Olivier to drive the 911 on track. Ok, mine is not stock, but she is still gaining in value also, making the decision to put it on track more and more difficult.
At least the Miata is as much fun on track except being slower on the straight and the Abarth is fun at the AX.

Coming back to the tread how about a Cayenne since we are talking Porsche.

no car purchase right now. Just had my taxes done. Wow, didn't see that coming. Owe over 3k and was told to adjust my withholding or face this again next year. Now I'll have less monthly income. You just can't freaking win these days....

E70 4.8i or 35d. Tows 5K and very comfortable on long trips. I've been to PA and FL in mine several times. The V8 is a bit thirsty but fun to drive. Stay away from the 6 cylinder 3.0. Too many transmission issues.

Avoid the 2007 and the first year diesel. (2010 I believe)

The E53s can be nice but they seem to suffer 100K-itis to an extreme.

I hear the P-Car crowd really likes the Toureg.

If you get an E70 maybe you and I could get an exception to run in a SUV AutoX class...... STSUVTIRBLOATEDBOAT.... :P

The x535d crossed the desert in South America, with the mini body on it. It was called a mini, but it was the x535d really.
After vw left, someone had to uphold the diesel line..And it was the x535d.Noni Roma from spain.

I want a v10 tdi touraeg.If i want a tow rig, i will get a f350 dually 7.3l turbo diesel stick.THe intercooled 7.3l made about 350 hp and 500 ft lbs t orque.

so after getting my taxes straightened out paying uncle Sam my hard earned cash AND selling the mazda to Zach, I think I'm back on track to purchase something. I have several options I'm looking at, but what's risen to the surface is the new Mini Cooper. BMW 3 banger, twin turbo motor w/ some very decent torque numbers. What caught my eye is its claimed to get 42 on the hiway. Yeah, it's a small car, but I love the way they drive and this one slightly bigger dimension wise over the last gen. Ive also looked on line and I'm not seeing any negative press on this car so far.

Going over Friday to Flow for a test fit. From what I understand is supposed have just a hair more head room. We'll see... I've never purchased a new car for myself, much less ever configured one the way I want it. Went on the mini website and the options I punched in is w/ in budget. Hoping Friday brings good news in regard to fitting in the car.

It can be a cure for automotive ADD. I've purchased 4 used cars and still own 2 of them including the FF and tow RV. Purchased 8 new cars and still own 3 of them including 2 Mustangs. 5 of the new cars were Mustangs . . . all special ordered. Yes I lead a boring automotive life for a car guy.

I had my ser for almost ten years, only sold the z because it rusted. And it was so made for track, it was hard to drive on street.
Now the wrx i have had for many years now.Only sold the other sentra cause it blew up, you wanna talk about boring..we only sell stuff when it can no longer function. The explorer v6 HO we sold only because we were tired of the automatic blowing up all the time.So we bought the f250 diesel, and have not looked back.269k plus on her, 169k on the tranny that the other guy rebuilt.Front brake service, new glowplugs, water fuel seperator let go, because the other guy did not understand that, you are supposed to bleed it every now and then..it rusted out.For a older ford truck, it has held up really well. The starter wore out, because with the old glowplugs...We cranked her so hard, it blew.We had the vette for only a short time, because it needed alot of work. And the audi diesel we sold because...A: it got hit ,and parts needed to come from germany, and were expensive. So we fixed that, B: it was a pig slow car.69 hp and heavy sedan. We topped it out at 80 going around rockingham.New audi tdi v6 or four banger would not be a bad thing.

bringing this home tomorrow.

http://www.atlanticautoexchange.com/201 ... 68680.veh#

nice car and drives very nice. Plus side is it has a warranty and scheduled maint until the end of 2015. Went w/ this over the mini because it's bigger and has 4 doors. Just a nice DD car.

You bought a BMW...I'm shocked! Good call on the warranty. When it's up, sell it.

CPO? Free oil changes are nice but you'll be lucky to get two out of them.

Great car. We love our 328i.

Just don't let Performance work on it.
