I saw this in a parking lot this weekend and thought of this thread, so I took a pic. Clearly we are all fussing over our wheels and tires far too much - or the flat tire gods are REALLY smiling down on this guy!

That's impressive that it is holding air. It might be difficult to balance when the owner gets new tires! ;) I wonder if the owner actually even knows?

That's remarkable, my first thought was that someone actually put a tube in that tire, hopefully before the damage.

That looks a lot like the vintage slot mag from Charlie's 280Z right after he whacked a granite curb at the Wilson Grand Prix.
