Does anyone have an opinion about the collision center at hendrick automall? My wife got rear ended in the mazda2 last week and that is where the at fault insurance company sent me for the estimate. The car has some amount of damage to the unibody and since I am not paying for it I don't care about finding a shop that is cheap.

Also, the guy who inspected the car informed me that insurance companies only need to fix the unibody if it has deflected +/- 3mm? Does anyone have experience dealing with this? Trying to resell a 2012 model year car that has visibly bent unibody panels (and in one place busted apart seam filler) is going to be a nightmare.

Does anyone have a recent positive experience elsewhere?

I used Hendrick in Cary on the GTO and I'd go back there again if a car got wrecked.

If they aren't going to repair it back 100% to stock I'd go after em for diminished value. If they refuse and you do decide to go to small claims about it bring a lawyer. A guy at work tried to do it himself in small claims and got destroyed by the insurance company lawyer. I've heard that getting diminished value in NC is difficult.

I had my wife's 328i repaired at Performance in Durham. They are owned by Hendrick. Did a nice job.

Agree. If they don't agree to fix your car to 100% get a lawyer. You could also throw in the "pregnant wife with back pain now" card and threaten that new medical tests will be needed......just sayin' you can't fight fair with insurance companies
