Since I work from home, I usually try to have something running in the background music wise. I recently discovered broadcastify and the ability to hear the Wake county sheriff public safety channel. It's freaking amazing what goes on during the course of the day. The evening news gives you NO sense of what's happening on a day to day basis. So far my winners are....

> person calls in to report they've fallen THROUGH the floor and needs help. States it's OK to force entry into home.
> (winner) person calls 911 to report someone has placed a virus on their computer. Really?

If you ever get a chance to listen to this, it's well worth the entertainment factor, but it's also sad to consider this is actually happening...

Dude, trutv has the worlds dumbest whatever shows on tv, and some of t hose are just too damn funny. Especially when you consider the person is actually filming sometimes in the background on purpose, sometimes just doing some other thing, and catches them. But the fact is some people do some pretty dumb stuff, its hillarious.

agreed, but I can't watch TV while I work. The two are mutually exclusive to each other.

I had to print off the "10" codes, "status" codes and dispatch signals to keep up w/ these guys. I guess if you do this long enough it's all second nature. These guys/gals really zing off the codes via normal speak.

Today was interesting as I was listening to them track down the bad guy. He was hopping from cab to cab as the officers watched from the distance. Problem w/ the on line broadcast is once they are out of the car, you lose the action....bummer, but still exciting to listen to.

I have little faith in the future of humanity. While I appreciate the humor I might shoot myself if I listened to this stuff for very long. These people are breeding and we aren't allowed to sterilize them.
