The Law Office of Dewy, Cheatum and Howe regrets to inform you of the passing of your long lost eccentric uncle, Mr. Gurgleboots Shoenail Smith Esq, but known by his loving friends as Bruce. Mr. Smith was most keen on collecting money from unique business of Pinetree waxing.

As part of his last will and testament from uncle Bruce, you are being awarded a sum of $250,000 US dollars tax free. There is of course, 1 primary stipulation. The money can only be spent on cars and you must buy at least 2 cars.

Before we can present you with the money, you must supply a preliminary list of your top 2-10 cars you intend to purchase. Please present your list for review at your earliest convenience.

Kind regards,

DC&H Law offices, LLC

1. I'd be pissed off at Bruce as he didn't leave me enough cash to buy a new Lamborghini Aventador. I would then be faced with a dilemma I've always said that the first thing I would buy if I came into a large sum of money would be a Lamborghini, new Aventador is out as its too expensive, Gallardo is out because its a V10, must have V12. I could perhaps go with an Diablo SV, but if I'm gonna go with an older Lamboghini, I might as well go back to the one I had in posters on my wall as a child and get a Countach 5000QV. I have no idea if it is accurate or not, but NADA says that car is worth $64K so I'll go with that, leaving me with $186K.

2. Next up would be a C6Z06 all dressed in black, looking on craigslist today I find this one that will do quite nicely. $48K, leaving me with $138K.

3. Next, I live in Florida and need a convertible and it just so happens I was watching youtube videos of the new F-type last night, that car sounds like the devil himself came to Birmingham to help the chaps at Jag design engine and exhaust note. Unfortunately, at $92K for the supercharged V8 it eats up to much of my remaining budget so I think I'd settle for a used Aston Martin instead. $66K, leaving me with $72K.

4. I have to have an AMG Mercedes and a 4 door car of some sort makes sense so how about one of these? Yeah, that should do, maybe different color, but you get the idea. $42K leaving me with just $30K. :(

5. I was hoping the list would be longer, but if I negotiate a bit on the above prices I could probably squeeze out enough of the budget to bring home one of these. Hopefully with the laguna seca package and likely in blue.

This has wasted more time this morning than I have to waste!

1. 2014 Porsche Cayman S (plus various options) ~82K
2. Radical SR3 RS trackday car ~125K
3. Used (but decent/nice) tow vehicle ~30K
4. Used enclosed trailer ~6K
5. A car for Lemons/Chumpcar racing.

If only Bruce had left me more money. Items too expensive for the list..

* Porsche 962 (~$800+K)
* LMPC prototype (~$346K)

Richard

PS: I reserve the right to change my mind as I think about this. (Edited to add Lemons/Chumpcar)

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Had to break up my post as the stupid forum software wouldn't let me post the whole thing as one.

Not sure what is going on. I played around with editing your post to try to bring it back together, but it was giving me problems. I think it is related to the links (or number of links) you have. But the qty you are using shouldn't be an issue.

Richard
