I'm starting to get a small collection of movie shorts from the different shots. All of these are in a .mov format, aka quicktime. I've not had a need to edit these in the past, but there's one I want to post metube and I realize that windows movie maker doesn't support this format. I either need a converter or some software that's easy to use and be able to pull in different formats make a movie.

Movie maker is ok, but not the best interface. I'm willing to plunk down a few bucks on something good. Recommendations?

As usual these movie snippets continue to dribble in, but every now and then a great shot comes along. This is one of them...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BN09pzNj ... e=youtu.be

The best part of this shot is something you can't see. Some of the Pembroke students were working as traffic control at intersections stopping traffic. On this run we got the word to go. At that very moment a drivers ed car rolled into the intersection and was stopped. As we blew thru the corner I looked over and saw the student drivers sign on top of the car. All I could do was laugh as I was barreling down the road trying to imagine what the student and teacher were thinking. I sure that was a conversation starter....

You might want to turn the sound up on this one a little as you can hear the chase develop in back of camera and then we come rolling by. I have to admit that Bullitt sounds pretty damn good w/ a stock exhaust...

...but it's no BMW. :stick:

This has got to be the longest production ever.

Yeah.... I think there's been professional movies made that didn't take this long. Frustrating really.... Maybe they'll wrap this up by Christmas

They've done that in most of the stuff I've received. I guess there's going to be a lot of overdub...

On a side note, I've told I'll have this before the Christmas party, so if all goes according to plan, maybe I can show this master piece....

Well, I was let down and film wasn't ready for last nights unveiling at the Christmas party. Let's call it technical problems....whatever :(. I did happen across the movie I helped with last year. Here's the link...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NL_no1-7-gg

Understand, this is a student film that's dealing with the values and virtues of the difference between love and and infatuation. Let me say again, this is a student film, 'nuff said. The driving part of the film is a subplot in the day and the life of the students. Anyway, the driving starts around the 14 minute mark. I did have to laugh at one part though. We are under the shelter and "Lucy" and "Rob" are talking. At the very end of that Rob needs to walk away and start working on the car. I had given him a tire gauge. As he walks off to the back of the car, he bends down and puts the gauge up against the lug nuts. I was standing in the background and it was ALL I could do not to laugh.

Anyway, as soon as this years film is ready, I'll post up.

Alrighty, get the popcorn and beer ready, take a seat, and be prepared to be amazed  Well, it was fun to do....

No, the one I did this summer is not out yet. Last I saw it was still processing on youtube. The video I posted was from LAST year. I'm hoping to have the chase sometime before the end of the year now. Disappointing it wasn't ready for the Christmas party North America showing

Once I have a link I'll post up. Hopefully it's more entertaining....

I've never DNF'ed during a movie's outtakes. That's going to be hard to top :)
