Oh....OK. Whew. That makes better sense to me. Still wouldn't buy it, though.

Still doesn't make sense. BJ is as big a made for TV scam as anything going. They are in part responsible for bidding up the price of cars along with their shills on SPEED to the stupid prices. People with more money than brains. It is fun to think of all the people who paid stupid money during the bubble for junk.

Fried Chicken, mashed "potato" like substance and mixed vegetables

Well, I did say "better sense" as in, "it's a one-off piece of automotive memorabilia from a time that the current crop of people with lots of disposable income look upon fondly." As Chuck stated, he should find a greater fool fairly soon because people in my demographic probably don't care that much about this kind of thing, and probably won't have the kind of money lying around to buy it for nearly what he paid.

(Yes, at 42 I remember eating Hungry Man TV dinners, albeit for lunch, as a child watching those same Batman reruns during the summer months.)

Yeah, I seriously doubt if this "thing" will appreciate, at least in nominal terms, wildly out into the future. So many freak auction sales turn into all-time peaks never to be seen again. Now if this was an extremely rare Ferrari, et al, with some history/story attached to it, etc, it might be worth the risk to hold...but the "Batmobile"? Seriously? Personally, as a kid, although I thought the show was fun to watch, it grew old very quickly to me. When the Girl from U.N.C.L.E. came on now, that was a different story...even though I was 7 or 8 at the time. :D

Since we talking old stuff, anybody here remember watching the puppet series like the Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5, Supercar, Stingray, etc.
Also series like the Invaders, The Time Tunnel, Voyage at the bottom of the sea.

I don't remember the puppet series mentioned. I do remember Invaders, The Time Tunnel, and Voyage.
