i was at the trabant parade this year, in DC. I am at 1 minute 47 seconds in my carrhart coat, getting in the car. its a 1963 trabant p600 sedan. a pre runner to the trabant 601s that came later. it was shaped different, and was 1cc smaller engine! this was at the spy museum each year in dc. expensive trip.. so cant go each year. but we went this year as a bucket list trip for me!

What if they held a car show and every entry was a POS? Hey they just did.
Still it was a lot of fun talking with other "car crazies". I used to think MG owners had the most interesting "getting there" tales of woe. That was before riding in one of these and talking shop.
Yet another unforgetable car moment.

Pete, you have a Trabbi? I almost bought a p601 last year for $3,500.00 in Maryland. The car was mint....I always wanted one. Just because they are so crazy.

Nah, I have a subaru. however, this was at the parade this year. I voted for one, and signed up for a ride. the guy be4 me did not show. So I got head of the line pass! Wicked! Anyhow, not my car, its a 1963 trabant p600. The precursor to a 601s that came later. A whole cc smaller. It was a cold engine, so she sputtered a little. But anyway it was fine, plenty of headroom, rough but still decent ride, for a small car it was roomy, it was fine i though. Although I am not built for small cars really. Alot of fun, if I ever get plenty of money, I am going back for a nother shot at the trabi parade.
