Owning a Corrado doesn't sound nearly as expensive or trouble-prone as the ix, but I know how you feel. A lot of people have told me they're unreliable, are too front heavy to really handle all that well and this, that and the other. Well, to be honest, there's a good bit of truth to that, but I don't care and I won't sell unless I absolutely have to. As far as what you could do, I agree with getting a "beater" until you can find a suitable replacement. Look in the ads daily and drive anything/everything you want to try until you find something you like. Then start to think about selling. Did I mention I'm selling an 86 190E 16v? :D
