Crappy cell phone pic, but I didn't want to get closer and traumatize him any more as his mom ran off as soon as I took out my phone to take the picture. He probably wasn't even 8 inches tall at the shoulders. I see deer all the time in my yard, but never this close and never this small.

we had one in the yard last week that size. don't think he made it unfortunately. mom has been seen without fawn in tow lately.

we generally get two or three born on / around our property about every other year. i think we have two yearling buck this year. last year we had three .......... after hunting season not so much.

It's dangerous to leave Steve's house after dark there are so many deer.

From what I've been reading, they tend to breed in the same place year after year so that makes sense, this is the first time I'm aware of in the ten years I've been here that there has been a fawn in the yard.
