Well, I'm feeling pretty good today and its looking like I might be going home tomorrow. I'm fairly open to visitors both today and once I'm home, I'll be home from work for quite awhile though my activity is fairly limited I do have a 65" 3D plasma and a PS3 so I have no excuse for boredom.

Zach can tell you all about iRacing and probably help you get setup.

Speaking of that, I have a wheel and pedal setup for you.

Holy crap! I disappear from the forum for a little while, and it looks like I've missed a lot. Most of it isn't good. :?

Les, I'm glad to hear you're on the mend. Give a call if you need anything.

Sounds good to me Steve, thanks! :-) Wheel to wheel, not so much, I'm just looking forward to the day I can get back behind the wheel.

Wonderful news, great to hear you're home Les! Speaking of behind the wheel, I'm looking forward to riding in the new old Vette with that monster engine -- still thinking about the time riding along in your Z06. :) Hope you mend quickly!

So, I'm getting by at home pretty well, thanks to family and friends for making the transition go smoothly and helping me out at home. Pain meds are keeping the pain under control mostly and I'm getting stronger with the walking. Since I have to spend most of my time lying down rather than sitting up I can't really use my steering wheel for racing games, so I've mostly been playing Motorstorm Apocolypse, which is a totally awesome game, especially in 3D, I highly recommend it as pure fun racing game. The driving physics are about as realistic as you would want them to be considering your racing through a world that is self destructing, buildings crumbling above, bridges & overpasses collapsing beneath, explosions everywhere, the track changes every lap, its kind of like a really extreme version of rallycross. :D Does anyone else play this game, anyone think they can give me a challenge? Anyone that wants to stop by the house and pay a visit is welcome, I'm here most all day every day. Just give me a call first 919-606-8429

Saw Les at lunch and he looks very good! Good to see he'll be home tomorrow. BTW, that hospital is huge! Had to have a volunteer escort to find his room.

edit: Needed add that Les has an armband that says "fall risk". I need one of those for late Friday nights!

They should just put out pointer cones for you
