http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O46E0gCF5os the top gear crew, tested a gt500 mustang on its road course. and at 8 minutes ten seconds in. if you pause it, i am fairly sure, you can see the sti time just below his hand there.. and it is 1 minute 30.1 seconds. the mustang is one minute 30 dead.
it is interesting that the ford is only one tenth faster than a humble sti. which costs far less than a ford gt500. for me i would rather spend an extra 20k and get the gt. the ford gt40 replica car, with the supercharged small block. That is one cool car.
it handles supposedly well, is fast, looks good, and is american. I also hear Jeremy Clarkson fits in one, so would I fit too I believe.
